Soapstone is the one type of stone that does not need to be periodically sealed to make sure that they are not damaged from spills.  All stones have their own unique look within the material, such as the range of color of marble to the versatility and look of granite.  The fact that they are very easy to maintain is one of the other things that stone has in common with one another.
